The bachelor is capable of developing and applying theoretical models linking theoretical knowledge to practical design and implementations. The bachelor is familiar with problem solving in real life situations based on theoretical knowledge and experience. He or she obtains a broad technical basis and is specialised in building engineering. He or she obtains an understanding of 3D modelling, drawings and representations, learns how to interpret results and performs basic calculations on stability issues. The academic bachelor collects and interprets technical details on structural or building data and drawings. The academic bachelor takes into account the security and safety measurements, environmental regulations and he applies quality systems. The bachelor can perform several technical tasks in the field of structural engineering. Together with these technical competencies, the education is completed with social and communication skills.
